   Welcome! The Naples Improvement Association (NIA) hosts this site and welcomes comments or suggestions. The NIA is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Since the NIA's inception in 1928, it has been dedicated to promoting and protecting the civic and social interest of the Naples Islands community. The officers are elected at a general membership meeting held yearly, and meet each month to discuss and take action on matters which involve the interest and rights of the community.

NIA Board Meeting's are the 1st Thursday of the month, 7:00pm at the LBYC, unless otherwise noted. We invite all residents to attend. If you would like to present an issue, please provide the topic to us with at least 7 days notice. This will enable us time to get you on the agenda. "Due to the amount of information we cover in each meeting, we ask that your presentation be no more than 5 minutes." Thank you and we look forward to your participation!

The Long Beach Community Emergency Response Team (LB CERT) is offering free Emergency Preparedness Seminars presented by LB Fire Department trained CERT members. These 1 1/2 hour seminars will help prepare you and your family for a major disaster. The seminar will educate you about: Water - how much, how to store it, and how to sterilize it Food - what kind, how much, and how to store it General Supplies & First-aid Kits Valuable documents - how to keep them safe and available, and what you should have copies of Utilities - when to turn them off, and how Emergency Kits - be ready to go at a moment's notice Medication ...and much more! Participants will also be given a free packet of materials to take home. The trainers will lead a seminar for businesses, homeowner's associations, churches, etc. All you need is at least 10 people attending to schedule a seminar.
