It's a long time back to 1933, but on February 23rd of that year the Naples Improvement Association was incorporated under the laws of the State of California. For reasons unknown to those of us now, the incorporated status of the Association was suspended on February 16, 1955. Efforts were undertaken several years ago to restore the incorporated status, with research being performed, and now after correspondence with the Corporation Commissioner, the numerous advantages of incorporation has again become available to the Association, with restoration on November 26, 1974. So... at least once each year, we'll refer to ourselves as: NAPLES IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION, Incorporated.
