NIA Community Meeting, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Naples Elementary School at 7:00 p.m. If you live in Naples, you should be at the Fall Community Meeting on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. In the auditorium at the Naples Bayside Academy (Naples Elementary School). City officials will be

On hand to answer questions and give community updates. Your 2009 Slate of Officers for the Naples Improvement Association (your representatives) will be voted on that evening.

Naples Boat Parade, Saturday, December 13th. The Naples Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, December 13th. John Schuman is this year’s chairperson. The theme is The Naples Spirit—Joy of Giving. One new tradition that we would like to start this year is to encourage residents who are hosting parties on Boat Parade Night to encourage their guests to bring an unwrapped toy to the party. The following afternoon, that Sunday, residents may drop off their unwrapped toys at The Colonnade Park. Local fire department personnel will be on hand to accept the toys. These donated toys will not only be used during the holiday season but will be used throughout the year to bring a smile to a young person’s face who may be a victim of a fire or other emergency circumstance. It is our hope that this small gesture by Naples residents and their guests will become an annual tradition.
